Prepare yourself,
for an unforgetable adventure

Our upcoming Tours…

What to expect whilst on tour…

  • It is the personality of the hotels and staff we are looking for, and a sense of being ‘there’ when choosing hotels for our touring.

Accommodation costs are calculated on a twin-share basis so if you prefer not to share with a roommate, select the single-room supplement option in the final payment shop.

From the night of DAY ONE of the tour, until the LAST NIGHT of the tour, we’ll be staying in good quality, four-star hotels which we’ve previously extensively researched.

  • All transportation, drivers’ fees, fuel and road taxes, rickshaws and taxis as needed in our itinerary.

  • We are very careful about our pricing, once a price is announced we stay locked into it.

  • The meals included are listed on the itinerary. We believe food is an integral part of the culture and have carefully chosen a wide range of good dining experiences for our tour. We supply water on the table with meals other drinks are NOT included.

  • Planned sightseeing entrance fees listed in the itinerary are included in the tour cost but occasionally, there may be some unplanned sightseeing entrance fees. If we decide to squeeze in some extra non-included places, these are at the participants cost.

  • All tuition fees for workshops mentioned in the itinerary are included.

    • A few meals

    • Bottled water -it is best that only bottled water (even teeth cleaning) pass your lips and you should plan to drink 2 to 3 litres of water a day. It makes a big difference when travelling. Think of bringing an insulated flask, many hotels now supply filtered water. We generally have our own fridge for cold water as well as a supply of fruit and soft drinks on board the bus. You pay a nominal amount to buy the supplies at the beginning of the tour and it’s shared as we travel.

    • Tips- allow for tips for personal services, for example when your bag/laundry/room service is delivered to your room, and something for the driver who will look after you safely for the duration of the trip.

    • Laundry, flights, passports and the relevant visas and travel insurance required per tour.

    • This trip is not a traditional package tour, we are a small group, generally 15 persons, maximum. We aim to travel as a group of friends and our past tour participants often form new friendships lasting well past the end of the tour.

    • There is a clear timetable for each day but there is flexibility to explore options in each of our locations. If we see something we like and time allows we can stop and check it out.

    • Occasionally, there may be some unplanned sightseeing entrance fees. If we decide to squeeze in some extra non-included places, these are at the participants cost.

  • The tour begins on DAY ONE of the tour, at whichever airport or hotel we have nominated.

We can organise an airport transfer or transport from your hotel to the nominated tour start hotel, if you would like us to, however, this is at an additional cost to you.

  • Your place on the tour will be confirmed by payment of a deposit. The deposit will be used to start the booking process of bus, trains, internal flights (as needed), hotels and transport. Once these payments have been made your deposit is non-refundable.

  • The balance of the payment must be made no later than 4 weeks before departure.

  • Late payments cannot be accepted as there are deadlines for internal flights, rooms and etc.

  • If numbers are insufficient, and this necessitates the tour cancellation, your entire deposit will be repaid in full.

Deposit is $1000 of tour cost and due as soon as possible by clicking the ‘register now’ button below.

  • If you need to cancel your booking after you have made a deposit prior to the date of final payment (4 weeks before the commencement of the tour) an administration fee of $500 will be withheld and dependent on what has already been paid out for flights rooms etc, if we can’t get it refunded, perhaps more.

If you need to cancel after the full payment date 50% or $500, whichever is greater, will be non-refundable- again dependent on what we can get refunded.

Costing for the trip is based upon the number present, so if for any reason, you need to cancel your booking please pass this information along immediately.

If it is possible to fill the spot (often not easy) a refund of the balance can be made - please check out travel insurance to cover these circumstances.

Please consider your schedule carefully before booking -as we are a small group and numbers are important.

Refunds cannot be made for parts of the itinerary participants choose not to participate in, or for changes to the published itinerary due to circumstances beyond our control.

The trip has been carefully planned but on occasions, delays may occur and alternative arrangements need to be made in individual circumstances

If Marigold - Textiles, Art and Adventures cancels a tour you will receive a COMPLETE refund of money received.

  • Passports need to be up-to date and valid for the 6 months after the trip. Participants are responsible for this.

A visa is required for India. You can obtain a visa online. Any travel related health checks needed.

  • You are responsible for obtaining medical advice to suit your needs before travel.

We suggest you consult your GP before departure and have with you enough items to cover all your medical needs during your time OS. It is also a good idea to have a copy of your medical scripts

You are fully responsible for obtaining adequate medical advice and implementing it before the trip.

You need to be fit enough for sightseeing. We are onto and off the bus throughout the day. Some of the monuments and markets we visit are large. You need to be able to manage a few kilometres at a gentle stroll and the odd flight of stairs or hill.

There are no marathons but with so much to see it is good to be fit enough to enjoy it all!

With all the details clear and covered we will be free to have an enjoyable trip together.

  • We respect your privacy.

Your details are collected solely for our records and to make bookings at hotels, museums etc. We do not disclose your details to any third party unless it is directly related to bookings we must make for our tour.

  • It is very important to arrange Comprehensive Travel Insurance to cover the whole time of your trip.

Please make sure you cover personal accident, medical expenses, repatriation if injured or taken ill and losses if you need to cancel your place.
